Stuart Island

Come experience my favorite area of the San Juan Islands.  Explore islands with steep cliffs, rock gardens, view sea life, enjoy remote serenity.   We will launch from Roche Harbor and head directly for a Stuart circumnavigation.  We will camp at the CMT site in Reid Harbor for three nights.  Over the next two days we will  tour Johns, Cactus and Speiden islands, and visit the long sandy beach of the Cowllitz Preserve at the S end of Waldron.  On our return we may circumnavigate Henry.

Strong paddling skills are required.  There may be fast currents, eddies, and tide rips (avoided if possible), long crossings, and open water in Haro Strait.
