Wilderness First Aid Training
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED!
For anyone interested in obtaining a Wilderness First Aid certificate, Bill Corson of the Outdoor Adventure Center in Index, WA, will be offering two 3-day courses geared towards kayaking.
You will learn the knowledge, skills and ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Completion of this course more than meets the requirement for trip leaders prior to leading any WKC whitewater or sea kayaking trip.
The dates are February 17-19 and Mar 3-5 (listed separately). Time: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. The first day will be a refresher in First Aid/CPR for anyone who took Bill's 1-day class in 2016 or is already certified from another course. Those already certified may skip this refresher and attend the second and third days for the WFA portion of the course. Anyone NOT previously attending
last year's
First Aid course or NOT having a First Aid/CPR certificate
or having an expired certificate
must attend all three days.
WKC Members Fees:
3-days $185; 2-days $145.
Non-members Fees:
3-days $205; 2-days $165
Lunch will be provided each day. For those having dietary restrictions, please send me a note upon registering. I'll pass it on to Bill to see whether he can accommodate you.

Details:
For anyone having a current First Aid/CPR certificate, please bring it for verification. You need to attend the Saturday and Sunday classes, Feb 18-19, 2017 to obtain the WFA certificate. You may attend the Friday class as a refresher.
