After Work Adventure (III / III+ with possible portages)

Let’s turn a midweek, after-work run into a bit of an adventure.  Location is TBD based on what Ma Nature provides.  Our #1 option will be the short section of the SF Snoqualmie below Twin Falls – just upstream of the normal SF Snoqualmie run.  For this, we hike our boats about 1 mile up a scenic trail to access the river near the base of Twin Falls.  Partway in, we’ll take a short rest break while we scout a short section of canyon from above.  If levels don’t cooperate for the SF Snoqualmie, we’ll find another adventure.  Some alternate options include the “cemetery to Kay’s landing” stretch of the Green River Gorge (if levels are low) or the Raging (if levels are high).
