The tidal exchange through Hammersley Inlet can create a strong current. A few times per year, this current happens in the middle of the day on a weekend. We will put in at Boston Harbor Marina in Olympia, ride the saltwater river to Shelton where we will have lunch and wait for the tide to change, then ride the current back.
