Staircase Rapids (North Fork Skokomish) is currently running below recommended levels. That being the case, a good defensive role is recommended due to low water volume and low rock exposure.

Friday July 7th: Tentative plan is to meet at the takeout ~13:30.

Anyone available to paddle the North Fork of the Skokomish staircase rapids class II/II+ (by Lake Cushman) this Friday (~1:00 pm) or weekend? I'm flexible on the weekend time, but the earlier we go the more runs we could do.
I live in Olympia; if it works out I'd be happy to drive, or just meet at the take-out, which is the Forest Service picnic area right after the bridge across the lake, and right before getting into the Park. We can portage up river to avoid Park entrance fee --I have a pass, so we could shuttle.
I'll be paddling my playboat.
