Today we observed wood hazards on the lower Green.
The first is located about 100 yards above the rapid above the lunch stop. There is a river wide wood hazard. The flow today was 650 cfs and we were able to paddle under the trees on river right. if flows were much high a portage on river left would be mandatory.
The second hazard is located about 100 yards above "Fish Hatchery". It is located in the center of the river and is easy to avoid by paddling to the left or right side of the river. If higher flows occur, this tree could move into the "Fish Hatchery rapid.
